A modern luxury, slow fashion & responsible clothing line created by Stacey Wood
Established by creative director Stacey Wood in 2016, the brand has been quietly spearheading its approach to slow fashion, taking its time to build a brand on integrity, as opposed to hype and irresponsible production. Stacey is the beating heart of the brand, which she named after her grandmother Joan King, a ballerina hailing from East London, and her father, Graham Tuckfield, a tailor, paratrooper, and miner from Yorkshire.
The designer has set out to source Merino wool from local New Zealand suppliers to ensure traceability, transparency and to support artisanal communities. The brand sources regenerative materials made using non-toxic methods - including GOTS® Certified and recycled cotton and natural fibers containing natural rose-bush waste. The denim is sourced from a small Italian mill and hand-finished by a local community of independent weavers. King & Tuckfield’s ethos and aesthetic have resonated with style-conscious shoppers who appreciate directional design and demand the responsible provenance of their purchase.
